Why Do Some Women Grow and Others Stay Stuck?
In business, talent and timing can only take you so far. What sustains real growth — the kind that lasts — is who you are becoming in the process. Your reputation, integrity, and authenticity matter just as much as your strategy, and they will either accelerate or sabotage the impact you’re called to have.
I’ve been talking about this a lot lately with clients, especially around one word: reputation.
Your reputation is what people consistently experience from you. It’s not built in a day, but it can speak louder than any sales pitch, brand strategy, or marketing plan. And here’s the truth: reputation flows from commitment.
👉 Commitment is what you do when it’s exciting and when it’s not. It’s the quiet decision to keep showing up even when no one’s watching.
That’s why I believe reputation and integrity aren’t just virtues — they’re strategies. They shape the way you lead, sell, and serve. And as faith-driven women in business, we don’t just represent ourselves; we represent the God who called us.
But here’s the tension I see over and over again in the women I coach:
- Group One: Women who’ve been praying for more, working hard, and finally experiencing growth. But as soon as momentum builds, they shift into striving, overwhelm, and pressure.
- Group Two: Women who say they’re “doing all the things,” but when we really evaluate their actions, they’re not doing the right things consistently enough to see results.
Both groups need the same thing: self-awareness.
That’s why I want to give you seven self-reflection questions that I’ve shared inside my Elite Mastermind. These questions will help you slow down, realign with truth, and get clarity on what’s really happening in your business and life.
Seven Self-Reflection Questions to Accelerate Your Growth
1. What’s the biggest area of disappointment right now — and why?
Get specific. Don’t just say “I’m stuck.” Pinpoint the exact area that feels disappointing, identify the expectation you had, and ask why it wasn’t met. Clarity breaks confusion.
2. What do you love that you’re doing right now?
Do more of it. The things that bring you joy also fuel your longevity in business.
3. What do you hate that you’re doing right now?
Strong word, but important. If it drains you, delegate it. Stop carrying tasks that steal your energy.
4. What dream do you wish would happen faster?
Name it. Then ask yourself what steps you can take to accelerate that dream — or whether God is teaching you patience in the process.
5. Where are you striving or feeling pressure in your business?
Pressure often signals misalignment. Are you working in peace, or forcing something that isn’t God’s best?
6. What excuse, habit, or mindset is keeping you stuck?
Be honest. Where have you been justifying inaction or inconsistency? Freedom starts with awareness.
7. Where can you celebrate today? 🎉
This one’s my favorite. Celebration shifts your atmosphere. It reminds you how far you’ve come and strengthens your faith for what’s ahead.
Why This Matters
Too many women hide their light, shrink their success, or quit too soon because of disappointment, pressure, or fear of failure. I know, because I’ve been there.
When I was pitching my first corporate wellness program years ago, I faced rejection after rejection. For a year and a half, the answer was “no.” But I kept refining, kept showing up, and eventually landed the deal — which later multiplied into contracts far beyond what I first imagined.
If I had quit early, I would’ve missed the breakthrough.
That’s why these questions matter. They help you recalibrate before you spiral into doubt or burnout. They realign you with truth so you can keep building with integrity, joy, and endurance.
Final Word
Reputation, commitment, integrity, humility — they’re not just words. They are the foundation of leadership. And when you combine them with self-awareness and aligned action, you will not just grow a business… you’ll leave a legacy.
So grab these questions, sit with them this week, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what’s really happening beneath the surface. Write down your answers. Share them with someone who will hold you accountable. And don’t forget to celebrate daily — because you are further along than you think.
Your next level of impact is waiting.
